TimBar Announces Closure of Vernon, New York Facility

April 09, 2009: On April 9, TimBar Packaging & Display announced that its manufacturing facility located in Vernon, New York will be closed sometime early July. The company also announced its intention to sell business from this facility to the Jamestown Container Companies, headquartered in Falconer, New York. The Vernon facility has been part of the TimBar family since 1993.

The company's Mayfield fulfillment center will remain in operation by TimBar. Due to the value added service provided and advantageous location; it will remain a key component of TimBar's northeast Point-of-Purchase strategy. TimBar will be retaining some sales, service and administrative support personnel who will focus on key accounts that TimBar will continue to serve.
